Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SpecSource.ai (the "Service") operated by Quassum MB ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in Lithuania. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

SpecSource is an AI-powered tool that researches your Linear issues and enriches them with detailed specifications by gathering context from connected third-party services (Sentry, GitHub, Slack). The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate content automatically.

2. Account Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate account information
  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3. AI-Generated Content

The Service generates specifications using artificial intelligence. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI-generated specifications may contain inaccuracies, errors, or incomplete information.
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and validating all specifications before acting on them.
  • We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, correctness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content.
  • AI-generated specifications should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decisions affecting production systems, security, or user safety without independent verification.
  • We are not responsible for any consequences arising from actions taken based on AI-generated specifications, including but not limited to code changes, deployments, or architectural decisions.

4. Connected Services

The Service integrates with third-party services (Linear, Sentry, GitHub, Slack) via OAuth or API keys. You are responsible for:

  • Ensuring you have authorization to connect these services and grant access to the data
  • Complying with the terms of service of each connected third-party service
  • Revoking access if you no longer wish to share data with SpecSource

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or security of third-party services.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Your data: You retain all rights to your code, issues, discussions, and other data processed by the Service. We do not claim ownership of your data or the specifications generated from it.
  • Our service: The Service, including its design, software, and documentation, is owned by Quassum MB and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
  • Generated specifications: Specifications generated by the Service are derived from your data. You own the output and may use it without restriction.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to process data you do not have the right to access
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Use the Service to generate content that violates applicable laws
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission
  • Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or credit restrictions

7. Credits and Billing

  • The Service uses a credit-based billing system. Each agent run consumes credits based on AI model usage and tokens processed.
  • Free accounts receive a limited number of credits. Paid plans provide additional credits as described on our pricing page.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed through Polar.sh. Subscription terms, including cancellation and refund policies, are governed by Polar.sh's terms of service.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect the current billing period.

8. Service Availability

  • We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service.
  • We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability.
  • We are not liable for any losses resulting from Service downtime or unavailability.
  • We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) with reasonable notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
  • We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
  • In no event shall Quassum MB be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
  • We are not liable for any damages arising from AI-generated content, including specifications that are inaccurate, incomplete, or that lead to unintended consequences when acted upon.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Quassum MB, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Actions taken based on AI-generated specifications

11. Data Processing

Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.

12. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time from your dashboard settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on the severity of the violation.
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Lithuania, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Quassum MB regarding the Service.
